Bryson's First Haircut

Even though Bryson doesn't have nearly as much hair as Preston did at his age, it was still time for his first haircut. He did great and sat still the whole time! Brother got his haircut too. Afterward, we took the boys to the mall for some much deserved play time!

We had a lot of fun this Halloween! This was the first year that Preston really "got it!" He would say trick or treat then after he got his candy, he would tell the person that they could close their door now! He had a blast. Bryson enjoyed himself too. He wants to do whatever brother does so he had fun following him to the doors.

Preston wanted to be Superman this year so he could fly and we found the cutest dinosaur costume for Bryson. Happy Halloween!

Preston & Bryson are best buds! It's so fun to watch them play together. They love to push each other around on Preston's Thomas the Train car and they also play toys together in their bedrooms. It's really wonderful!

Bryson's First Birthday!

Our baby is a year old! We officially have a one year old and a two year old...aaahhh! We had Bryson's party at Peter Piper Pizza, the same as Preston's first birthday party. We had a wonderful time with family and friends. Bryson wasn't feeling to well that day as he was cutting his top two front teeth but he still enjoyed his party.

July presents us with a 2 1/2 yr old and a 9 month old! At Bryson's 9 month check up he was 19 lbs., 5 oz & 28 1/2 in. long! I do compare his stats to what Preston was and so far he is shorter and weighs more. He definitely has a different build than Preston. Now that Bryson is older, the boys are really enjoying playing together. Also, we have started potty training Preston. We're taking it slow. He has gone pee pee in the potty several times and loves his candy rewards! We are using pull ups to start (occasionally underwear) and so far I'm impressed with his progress.

They are the joys of my life :)

June was another fun month! The pool is warm enough to swim. Preston is doing so well in the pool! He is finally big enough for a life jacket and it keeps him afloat! We don't have to be holding him anymore.....he's gaining an independence in the pool and he's a little fish! He's doing really good with kicking his legs and moving his arms to get around. I really need to get him in swim lessons. Also, Bryson started crawling up on his hands and knees!

We also did a "staycation" at the Arizona Grand Resort. It's only about 15 min. from our house but it really feels like we got away! They have a huge water park area and it's very kid friendly. We had a blast!

May was a busy month.....Bryson started his "snake crawl", I had a girls night out and Preston and I went to the Train Park. We are keeping busy enjoying our 2 wonderful boys!!

At Bryson's 6 month check up he was 17 lbs., 7 oz and 27 in. long!! We started baby food as well although he's not liking it too much yet. Preston is being a good big brother and very helpful as you can see in the photo where he's feeding Bryson!

It was my 30th birthday and I wanted a fun celebration! We left the boys with Grandma and Nana and went to Wild Horse Pass casino. We also spent the night at the Sheraton Resort. It was a fun celebration with Shelby, Richard, Shana & Dr. J! I'm officially 30!!!

We got tickets to ride Thomas the Train! They came to Globe so we went Papa Ken & Grandma Lynn. It was so much fun! Preston enjoyed the train ride and then there were also a ton of activites to do afterward. What a great day!

We headed to Tucson for the day to check out their zoo. It's small which is perfect for toddlers and you can get really close to the animals. We met cousin Ryan, Uncle Adam & Aunt Robyn there. It was a great day!

Bryson - 4 Months

Well Bryson will be 5 months old next week but here are some 4 month pictures. He started rolling over from his back to his tummy! He also rolled across the room the other day so he is becoming mobile! At his 4 month check up he was 15 lbs. & 24 in. long! He's doing great! Growing fast! Big brother Preston is adjusting well now to having a little brother. He still has his moments but I know he loves his little brother!

Once again I am behind on my blog!! Here we are in March and I still need to post fun events from January! Both of my dad's came to visit at the same time! This has never happened before! Bob was visiting from PA and Mike was driving through as he is working in CA again so he stayed for a night. Preston loves his Grandpap and Papa Mike!

We also celebrated Richard's birthday in January. We had an awesome dinner and dining "experience". It was a fun night out.

On Preston's birthday we made his favorite dinner, spaghetti. Then we sang, he blew out his candles and had birthday cake. On the following Saturday, we had a big birthday party for him. I think the 2nd birthday is more fun than the 1st because he knew what was going on!! We had his party at the park. We ate pizza, played at the playground, had a pinata, opened presents and ate cake. Preston wanted a Toy Story party so that's what he got!! It was a great party. Thanks to everyone who came. We have the best family and friends :)

Bryson - 3 Months

Bryson is 3 1/2 months!! He's a lot of fun these days! The smiles, giggles, more talking....it's all too cute! He's very strong and trying to sit up on his own. He's also starting to interact with his toys by reaching for them & hitting at them. He's in daycare with his brother now too. It's going well. He sleeps a lot while he's there as that's his defense mechanism but I'm sure as he gets used to being there, he'll start interacting more. I'm still only working 3 days a week as well which makes it less stressful for me! More updates to come.

Christmas 2010

This year was Preston's 2nd Christmas and Bryson's 1st Christmas! As you can see, Bryson slept through some of it! Preston really got into it this year after opening the first couple presents. Next year will be a ton of fun with a 1 yr old and almost 3 yr old! Preston got a bunch of toys. Mostly all Toy Story related as he loves to watch "B" (buzz) and Woody. I feel like I've almost conquered the toy tornado that came through our house!

It was a great day. We opened presents when Preston woke up, played with toys then Shelby and I got ready and went to the Cardinals/Cowboys game. It was an awesome game. The Cardinals won!. . .my Christmas miracle :) The next day we went to Globe for more Christmas celebration with the Greenwalls.

I can't believe 2010 is coming to an end. It was an exciting year for us with a new addition to our family. We are so thankful for our wonderful blessings. Looking forward to 2011!!

Shelby and I had a date with Preston to see Yo Gabba Gabba live. We left Bryson with Grandma and Nana while we went to the show. It was so much fun! I enjoyed it just as much if not more then Preston did! We bought him a Gabba Gabba t-shirt and flashy light. He was so excited. He really enjoyed the show and is still talking about it!

Bryson - 8 Weeks

Our little guy is 8 weeks old already!! He is finally staying awake more during the day and sleeping better at night. I'm still getting up about 2 times at night with him but it's much better then it was. He's also starting to smile and "coo" (talk). I'm enjoying the time with my boys and am happy that I have another month until I go back to work!

We had to take our dog of 9 years to the pound after she attacked Preston. She did fine when Preston was born but I noticed a change in her after we brought Bryson home. She was much more jealous. Also, maybe it was her health issues that affected her temper. It really doesn't matter. What matters is that I felt the children were in danger with her around.

She had her rope toy and she was pulling at one end and Preston was pulling at the other end. I was laughing as she was pulling him along the carpet. I was happy that they were actually playing together. Then Lucky let go of the toy and Preston was going to throw it for her. In an instant, Lucky snapped and was on top of Preston. I quickly pulled her off and she bit me as well. It was a very scary experience that happened so fast. What if I wasn't in the room? It could have been a lot worse. Preston ended up with a bite mark on his head and side of face.

It was sad to see her go but ultimately she was a pet and our children are much more important. Goodbye Lucky bear......you were a great dog until the end and we will miss you.

Bryson - 4 Weeks

I am behind on my updates! Bryson is 6 weeks old today! When we took him for his 4 week check up he was 10 lbs, 4 oz and 21 1/4" long. He's a good eater! Well, a little too good. He has a problem with over eating and then throwing up. Not fun. We use the pacifier a lot but I'm really hoping he finds his fingers soon! He has also rolled over several times during tummy time and I got it on video. Of course he hasn't rolled over much since then! We are all doing great and enjoying our newest family member!

I am posting some pictures from Halloween weekend. Preston was Buzz Lightyear for Halloween. On Saturday night we went to a Halloween carnival with Robyn, Adam & Ryan and Carrah, Shane, Addyson & Abigail. On Sunday, we went trick or treating with Robyn, Adam & Ryan.

On Monday, Chris, Rachel, Connor, Colby, Cade, Ryleigh and Reaghan came to visit on their way back from Vegas. We took some pictures of Bryson and Reaghan. Reaghan is 5 weeks older and Bryson is almost as big as her!

Also, Preston is no longer in his high chair. He has "upgraded" to the booster seat! I kept him in the high chair as long as I could. He is such a big boy. Growing up way too fast!!

Bryson Liam was born at 2:33 AM on Friday, October 8, 2010. He was 7lbs, 2 oz. and 19 3/4in. long. Thursday was my last day of work. I started getting contractions around 8PM Thursday night. I started timing them around 9PM. They went from 7 minutes apart to 5 minutes to 3 minutes apart in 1 1/2 hours. Finally around 11PM Shelby talked me into going to the hospital. I thought they would send me home but I was completely mistaken! When I arrived at the hospital, I was already 5cm dilated! I was taken to the labor/delivery room around midnight and 2 1/2 hrs. later we had a baby! I can't believe how fast the labor was!

We got to go home on Saturday. The pediatrician at the hospital said his jaundice (bilirubin) level was a little high but not concerning enough to keep us in the hospital. We were just told to follow up with his pediatrician on Monday. When we took him to the Dr. on Monday, his bilirubin level had jumped up from a 7 to 15. A level of 17 is when they have to be admitted to the hospital for photo therapy treatments. We were told to have the levels checked again on Tuesday AM. When we got those results back, his level was a 17.3 so to the hospital we go.

He had to have triple photo therapy to get his bilirubin levels down. We were in the hospital for 2 nights. During this time, he had to stay under the lights and we were only allowed to take him out for feedings. It was hard not being able to hold him. His levels came down fast and we were back home on Thursday.

The whole experience was probably the hardest on Preston. We were in the hospital for the birth, home for 3 days then back in the hospital again. Overall he did really well and we are happy to be at home and Preston is an awesome big brother! He comforts the baby when he's crying, gives him lots of kisses and loves to hold him!

We are so blessed to have 2 beautiful boys and now our family is complete!

Baby Greenwall II - 34 Weeks

I had my 34 week check up on Tuesday and was telling the Dr. that I haven't been feeling well the last couple weeks. Then we mentioned that Shelby had a virus called CMV about a month ago and took anti-virals. The Dr. was concerned that I could've gotten the virus and it can be dangerous for babies so she did some lab work on me and sent me for a "special" ultrasound to make sure everything was ok with the baby.

The baby is great! Everything looks good. I'm still waiting for my lab results but am thankful the baby is fine. It was fun getting this ultrasound and getting a little glimpse of what he looks like! He's weighing in at approx. 5 lbs., 2oz. right now and has a full head of hair according to the tech! We can't wait to meet our little Bryson!

Baby Greenwall II - 30 Weeks

30 Week update! I've made it this far! Only 10 weeks (or less) to go!! I am going to the Dr. every two weeks now. Baby has turned and is now head down but face up. At least he's not breech anymore! Everything is going well.....blood pressure, etc. I'm not getting any good ultrasound pictures this time. He does not want to show his face! Guess we'll have to wait until he's ready to make his appearance! Below are some updated belly pictures. He's definitely growing!!

We went on a mini-vacation with Adam, Robyn and Ryan to San Diego. This was Preston's first time at the beach! It was a really fun weekend. It was so nice to get away from the Arizona heat! We went to the beach on Friday, the San Diego Zoo on Saturday and then back to the beach on Sunday before heading home. The boys did great! It was fun watching them play together.

The zoo was fun but it was a lot of walking for someone who is 6 1/2 months pregnant! The boys wore out towards the end of the day and fell asleep in their strollers. It was so cute! I'm so glad we were able to take a trip before baby Bryson joins our family. Who knows when we'll get away next! It will be a while!

Preston - 18 Months

Preston will be 18 Months tomorrow!! He's really growing up fast. He's talking a lot saying many words now! We will go for his check up at the end of the month. Temper tantrums are in full swing now too! What a new experience. Other than that, life is great and we're preparing him to become a big brother! I have attached random photos taken over the past month or so.

We took him to the circus over the 4th of July weekend and we're getting ready to head to San Diego for a long weekend! We are all looking forward to it as it's been SO hot in sunny AZ.

Baby Greenwall II - 24 Weeks

I had my 24 week check up almost 2 weeks ago so I'm a little behind on my updates! Everything is going fine. I have gained 12lbs. so far. Also, I measured at 27 1/2 weeks!! The Dr. will keep an eye on this and may send me for another special ultrasound to confirm my due date. I think it's because he was breech and was completely stretched out from top to bottom! He's made himself nice and cozy in there! I don't have any good ultrasound photos to post because of his position.

Time is flying by. We've been working hard on the nursery and it's really looking great! We've also been talking to Preston a lot about being a big brother. We have a big brother book that we read to him, we tell him baby in the belly and he'll even kiss my belly! I'm sure he's going to be a great big brother! More updates to come.....

Baby Greenwall II - 20 Weeks

Here we are at the half way point!! Time is flying by now! I had my 20 week appt. and everything is going well. We got our test results from the 18 week ultrasound and everything was normal. Also, I gained 7lbs. last month! I knew I would make up for being so sick at the beginning :) We did have a monthly ultrasound but Dr. Kimmel didn't see us so I didn't get any print outs to post. Below is a belly picture to show how much baby Bryson is growing!! 20 weeks to go!!

We had our 18 week ultrasound today and finally have confirmation that we are having another baby boy! His name will be Bryson Liam. We couldn't be happier! Preston will have a little brother to play with. Plus the added bonus, we saved all of Preston's clothes and already have boy toys!! Now it's time to start shopping for the nursery! Baby Greenwall did not want to have this ultrasound done. He kept hiding & covering his face & ears so we didn't get as many good photos. Seems like he has a strong personality already! Everything looks great. Brain, heart, etc. so we are on our way to having a healthy baby.

He currently weighs 8oz. and my due date of 10/19 is right on schedule! We can't wait to meet our new addition :)

First Swim of 2010

We went swimming for the first time this year! I thought our pool would still be too cold but the temp. read 78 degrees so we went for it. The water wasn't really too bad once you got used to it. I was also worried that Preston wouldn't like the cold water but was completely mistaken! He LOVED it! He splashed around and swam with us. When his teeth started chattering, Shelby took him out and dried him off. I was still swimming and he wanted to get back into the pool. So he got back in with just his little swimmers on. What a fun time. I am so glad Preston likes the pool! Now we need to get him swimming lessons!

We went for our 16 week appointment today. Everything is going well. I'm finally starting to feel better. I gained the weight back that I lost the previous month. So I'm back to where I started. But the baby seems to be growing so that's all that matters! I am also showing now so I need to post some belly pics. as well!

We go for the 2nd trimester ultrasound in two weeks! This is where they will "officially" determine if we're having a boy or girl! We do have a little insight on what it might be. Take a look at the first photo and vote!

Baby Greenwall II - 12 Weeks

We had our 12 week appointment today. I can't believe the growth that takes place in 4 weeks time! You can see the hands and feet and facial features. We also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It's so amazing. Even the second time around! Everything's looking good. Heart rate is in the 170's.

I lost 1 1/2lbs. this month. My nausea is still up and down. I'm not able to eat as much as I used to and it's always the worst at dinner time. My Dr. doesn't want me to lose anymore weight but I'm not worried about it as I know I'll more than make up for it in the months ahead! I'm also really cranky this pregnancy. So I apologize to everyone in advance! Other than that, baby and I are doing great!

Last weekend we were in Tucson for cousin Ryan's 1st Birthday party! It was a great party then we enjoyed the rest of the weekend with Robyn and Adam. Baby Greenwall #2 is due to arrive on or around October 19, 2010! Can't really see much yet but the heartbeat is strong and healthy! Preston is going to be a big brother....I hope he's up for the challenge!

I have been feeling pretty "blah" lately. Nausea that lasts on and off all day and I've been very tired. It's a completely different experience with a toddler to take care of this time! Also, I have not been wanting ANY greasy foods which is so unlike me! I turned down a cheesesteak for Paradise Bakery. Hopefully that changes soon...hahaha! More updates to come :)

Fat Lip

Preston got his first fat lip tonight! He was playing with us after dinner and bit down on his lip with his super sharp tooth that is coming in on top! It didn't phase him at all. It was bleeding and didn't seem to bother him. After his bath, it really swelled up! Ouch!

Cruise 2010

Shelby and I went on a weekend Cruise to Mexico. This was our first time leaving Preston. He did great with the Grandmas but we missed him terribly. Four days was too long to leave him! Shelby and I had a nice time although the cruise "experience" was different than we are used to. We got "upgraded" to a room and were very excited about it. Well it ends up being a room over the engine or something and it was so loud!! I couldn't even sleep at night. For the formal dinners, they always sit you with other guests. There was suppose to be 4 other guests sitting with us at dinner and none of them showed up any of the nights! So Shelby and I ate dinner by ourselves! We did an excursion in Ensenada and only 2 other couples signed up for it! But that ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. We took a cooking lesson at the Mango Mango Restaurant in Ensenada. It was a lot of fun. All in all, it was a good trip and nice to get away :)

Our Mississippi family sent us a ton of goodies for Mardi Gras! It's a huge deal "down south" and they wanted us to be a part of the festivities! They also sent us a King Cake which was delicious! We played "dress up" with all the beads. It was fun. Thanks Dad and Teri :)

1 Year - Exciting Changes!

Preston had his 1 yr. check-up with his doctor last week. His weight came in at 20 lbs., 7 oz. so the first new thing we got to do was move his carseat around. He now faces forward and is enjoying communicating with us in the car! We have also started him on whole milk. He's not really taking to it like I thought he would. I guess it will take time as it tastes so much different than formula. The other exciting change is that Preston can now wear shoes! He is only walking now, no more crawling so the dr. said shoes were fine. We went out and bought him a pair of Nike's! He really likes them too! Another thing is that Preston still only has 2 teeth! I can't believe he doesn't have more but it has not slowed him down from eating and trying new things! He also had to receive 5 vaccinations and I am happy to say it all went well.

All in all Preston turning one has been an exciting adventure. I'm not too fond of the new temper tantrums that have developed but I suppose this is to be expected. Also, he is really favoring his daddy over his mommy right now which is another interesting change that takes adjustments! More updates to come!

We mad the 1 1/2 hr. drive to Globe yesterday to play in the snow. I love Arizona! It's sunny and warm in Phoenix and you just have to drive a short distance to play in the snow. The next day we are back in Phoenix wearing short sleeves!! Well Preston didn't care for the snow. We got all bundled up and played for all of about 10-15 minutes! Just enough time to get some great photos! The scenery is just beautiful! I'm glad we didn't drive 2+ hrs. north for the snow as Preston didn't even enjoy it! Also, this way we were able to spend time with family and eat Globe mexican food which is always an added bonus :)

Hopefully he'll enjoy it more next year. What can I say? He's Phoenix born....warm blooded!!

We took Preston to get a big boy haircut today. He desperately needed it and he has a big 1st birthday party coming up next weekend! We found a place called Snip It's. It's a place just for kids. They did a great job but Preston did not like the clippers at all! He was crying and screaming! What drama over a haircut :)

Preston is growing up way too fast!! He is now taking "big boy" baths and starting to feed himself!! Guess I wasn't ready for all the changes to occur at once! I know I have to accept the fact that he's growing up and is becoming more independent but it all has happened so fast. 2009 is coming to an end and I just keep thinking....where did the year go? Is it possible that Preston will be a year old?? Hopefully time will slow down a little in 2010. I want to enjoy every moment of it!! Happy New Year!

Mommy & Daddy were so excited for Preston's first Christmas and Preston.....didn't care so much! He wasn't too into opening presents but was a good sport anyway. He's just now starting to play with his new toys, a little! He's more interested in the TV remote and the cell phones. Preston - 11 Months

We here we are at 11 months with the holidays quickly approaching. I'm not sure what this new phase is but I think Preston has cried more in the last month than the entire time he was an infant! Oh new adventures as they grow!! Preston is really walking a lot more these days. Every chance he gets, he just takes off walking. He does really well but tends to flop down quickly and I have to watch him closely when he takes off on the ceramic tile!

We took Preston to Bass Pro Shop to meet Santa. They offer a Free picture with Santa. It was of course crowded and Preston was beyond impatient by the time it was his turn. He didn't mind sitting on Santa's lap though. He's such an easy going baby that he'll go to anyone. Also, typical Preston picture, sucking his two fingers!! Ahh, that's my sweet boy :)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! The turkey was perfect and we had such a nice visit with friends and family! I am so thankful for my baby Preston. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful joy in my life! I love being a mother and couldn't ask for anything more. I am also thankful for my husband who is an incredible father. SO many things to be thankful for :) This time last year Preston was still cookin in my belly and now he is trying to walk! He took his first steps tonight after dinner. We are so proud!!

Preston - 10 Months

Another month closer to the big day. . .1yr. old!! Well 10 months has given us a little taste of temper tantrums. Yep - it starts already! I've had to take Preston to the Dr. a couple times for followup on his ear infections. His ears look good so that is a relief. Grandma bought this walker for her house. I asked the Dr. if it was "approved". When she said it was ok, I went and bought one for our house! He just loves it! He'll be walking soon. . .by Christmas? We'll have to wait and see! I also talked to her about food. She said that we need to be introducing different foods as in what we're eating as long as he can gum it so he doesn't end up with a food texture issue. So new foods in process for Preston! He LOVED spaghetti! And we let him feed himself a little too. It was messy fun! I still can't believe at 10 months he doesn't have any teeth! But the bottom two have been bulging for a month now so should be any day! More updates to come!

We took Preston to the State Fair. We had a great time. I took Preston on the Merry-Go-Round. Not really sure what he thought about that! He's so easy going, just goes with the flow! Then we took him to see the animals. Shelby took him into the petting area. I was really nervous about that and immediately took him to the bathroom and washed his hands when he was finished! Preston liked seeing the animals. It was a fun night!

Preston - 9 Months

Well here we are with another monthly update. Preston is 9 months old already! Really, make it stop. . .he's growing up too fast! He was 18lbs., 12 oz. and 29 1/2 in. long at his check-up. Our latest purchase for him was a new car seat. He has a big boy car seat now. We bought two, one for each car so thank goodness we found them on sale! This way we won't have to move them back and forth as I take him to daycare and Shelby picks him up.

The doctor discovered he had a double ear infection at his check up. He was just getting over a cold so time for more antibiotics. This is the second time he's had an ear infection and I hope this is not going to be a continuous thing. Other than that we are all doing very well. Trying to stay healthy, keeping very busy and enjoying every moment with our little man!

I can't believe that Preston is 8 months old. This is such a fun age! He is ALL over the place now! He will be walking sooner than later and I'm not ready for that yet. He's is growing up too fast! I was worried how our dog lucky would react once he started crawling. She's done very well and I've been teaching Preston how to pet her as he likes to grab her fur and pull! He is in a grabbing phase right now. He is the "bully" at daycare because he grabs at the other kids. Faces, hair, etc. I'm really hoping this is just a phase!

The video is of Preston crawling on the tile. He crawls fine on the carpet then when he gets to the tile he drags one leg and goes flat foot on the other. Too funny! The tile was an imaginary gate at first because he didn't like it but that didn't last long. He still crawls funny on it but goes wherever now!

We have been very busy lately which is why I haven't updated in a while. Garrett & Julie brought their two boys Matthew & Andy to visit last weekend. This was the first time they all met Preston. We had a nice visit and posted a couple pictures.

Preston also got sick a couple weeks ago. I thought it was just a cold along with a fever. His fever got up to 103. We were able to get the fever down and waited it out. His fever subsided but the following week he still had cold symptoms and the fever was coming and going. Then he developed a rash on his face and legs. We took him to the Dr. and he ended up being diagnosed with a strain of the flu and an ear infection in his right ear. Apparently at the tail end of the flu, babies tend to develop a rash. So he got his first ear infection and had his first antibiotic. Poor guy. Hopefully that will be the worst he gets all winter. Why can't I just keep him in a bubble?!?

Cardinals Training Camp 2009

Cardinals Training Camp was insane this year! There were so many people!! Over 12K showed up for the autograph session and practice. We made it just in time for the autograph Shelby, I mean Preston wanted! They had a limited amount of time the players were doing autographs and we made it with 15 seconds to spare! I was trying to get a photo of Adrian Wilson signing our football and accidentally hit the record button. Which worked out even better!

We tried to then go watch the practice but couldn't get near the field. Well at least our team has fans now which should make this season even better! Look for many blog updates on the Cardinals as football season is finally here!!

Rocking Horses & Shopping Carts

Now that Preston is sitting up so well we can try fun new things. Like rocking horses and shopping carts! He also sits up and plays for long periods of time. I thought crawling was right around the corner but I'm not so sure now. He's seemed to take more of an interest in sitting up than crawling. If he is lying on the floor, he tries to pull himself into a sitting position. He can get about half way up but isn't quite strong enough to pull himself all the way. I'm not so worried about the crawling....it's more time before I have to baby proof the house!

The new foods are going well. So far he's had bananas & squash. He hated the bananas at first but now he tolerates them. He loved squash from the first bite!

6 Month Check Up

We took Preston for his 6 month check up today. He weighs 17lbs., 8 oz. and is 27 1/2 in. long! The doctor says he's long and lean! But she says his weight is average and he's very healthy. We get to start solids 3 times a day. Introducing a new fruit/veggie every week. Whoo-hoo! Let the fun begin!

He's getting closer to crawling everyday. The doctor mentioned that was early. She also pointed out that he's very strong and will be very active once he's mobile! He's already very active so I guess we'll be eating our wheaties so we can keep up with him!!

Another Fun Weekend

We had a great weekend. Papa Ken & Grandma Lynn came to visit. We went swimming, shopping and even made it to a Dbacks game! We enjoyed spending time with them. Then on Sunday we picked up "Uncle" Richard from the airport. He went to South Africa. So we spent time with him and heard all about his adventure! What a fun weekend!

An end of week update would be that Preston gets closer to crawling each day. He's up on his knees now and trying to move forward. Just hasn't quite figured it out yet!

I think we are about done with the bumbo as Preston now arches his back to get out of the thing and just about does! Time for the highchair!

Preston - 6 Months

Wow!! Preston is 6 months old already! I can't believe how big he is!! We don't take him for his 6 month checkup until the end of July as his Dr. is on vacation. I'll have to post his checkup status then. He is now rolling all over the place! He is also starting to get up on his knees in preparation for crawling. Won't be long now! He is starting to sit up on his own better and for longer periods. We just love him to pieces and look forward to the new stages!!

Preston's hair was out of control!! He had a really long, thick piece on the side of his head that was becoming unmanageable. Shelby liked it and called it his "signature". I decided it was time to cut it. While we were in Globe, Grandma Lynn cut his hair for us! We of course saved the hair for his baby book. He looks like a little boy now! 4th of July

Our 4th of July weekend was a blast! We spent the entire weekend in Globe. Chris, Rachel & the kids were in Vegas so they had an empty house and let us stay there. It was very nice of them but they were all missed!!! We were able to catch up with family. We had a nice visit with Grandma Deena & Papiano. Robyn & Adam were married on the 4th of July and they had a 5 yr. anniversary celebration. We had fun spending time with them along with Kimberly, Carrah, Shane & the girls, Grandma Greenwall, Aunt Tina, Aunt Sarah, Willie and of course the wonderful hosts Papa Ken & Grandma Lynn! Our latest news is that Preston is rolling all over the place! We can no longer put him in one spot and expect him to stay there! In the pics. below he started on the Cardinals blanket and made his way to the sliding glass door to hang out with lucky. Before I couldn't wait for him to be mobile but now I'm not so sure! No, it's great and fun....just a new phase in parenthood! We went to Toys R Us today and bought this ball that is educational and also rolls around and lights up. Preston loves it but can't quite keep up yet....he'll get there though.

Our other news is that Preston's babysitter told me a couple weeks ago that she can no longer watch Preston as she is going back to work. She is a teacher. I was devastated but understood. I've been looking for someone new. I met with a couple of people and think I've found someone good. She is the person who will watch our current babysitters kids....she watched them previously when she was working. I really hope it works out. It's so hard to find someone new that you can trust. I'm hopeful that it will work and Preston will be in great hands.

Preston at 5 Months

Wow! Preston is 5 months old already! Time really does fly by. He has been in his room now for a couple of weeks. The first night was awful for me because I didn't sleep at all! I was up about every 1/2 hr. checking on him! I'm much better now but I have woken him up a few times to feed him as I do not like him to go more than 8 hrs. without eating.

As you can see in a couple of the photos, he's starting to sit up! He still leans and balances on things but he's getting there. Also, we started him on rice cereal today. His doctor did tell me nothing but breast milk until 6 months but we decided it was time. When we're eating, Preston reaches for our food, plates & silverware. He's so interested in what we're eating! He really liked the rice cereal. He kept reaching for more! We'll start with just once a day and very small amounts. He let us know it was time and we're listening!

Trip to PA

We went to DuBois, PA for my 10 yr. High School reunion! We took Preston & my mom with us as she volunteered to take care of Preston while we went out. It was an adventure! Preston did awesome on his first plane ride! He was awake most of the way there and slept most of the way back! We were getting compliments from other passengers on what a wonderful baby he was! We were so busy all weekend......always on the run. It was fun but exhausting. I'm happy to be home!

10 yr. High School Reunion

The reunion started on Friday night with a classmates only gathering at a local bar. Then Shelby & I went to another bar and met up with my old friend James. I lost touch with him over the years but reconnected with him on Facebook!

Saturday evening was the dinner party. It was great to see some old friends there. I enjoyed the reunion but won't go to the 15th! Maybe the 20th! It was a good excuse to get back to my hometown!!

Mommy & Preston on Mother's Day

Preston is 4 months old! I took him to the Dr. today and he is 15lbs., 14oz! He's a healthy baby boy! He's doing good on all developmental skills and is growing like a weed! Shelby and I really enjoy interacting with him. This is such a fun age! With the smiling, talking and rolling over! His legs are constantly on the move he just doesn't go anywhere! This will all change very soon I'm sure! I've been back to work for 2 months already. It's going great. He really enjoys going to daycare and I know he gets lots of attention because he is absolutely exhausted when he gets home! I still haven't moved him to his room yet......I'm just not ready! Soon though as he is sleeping good at night.

Preston is starting to become mobile! He's rolling over now! He's only rolling over from tummy to back but I'm sure it won't be long until he's rolling from back to tummy and all over the place!

I was able to get it on video! This is only his 3rd time rolling over! He did it so quick.....glad I had the camera ready! Enjoy.

We took Preston swimming today! The water is still pretty cold but he didn't mind! He enjoyed it! It's going to be a great summer!

Rolling Over

Preston has rolled over twice! Once last week and once today. The first time I was home alone with him so Shelby didn't believe that it happened! Today, Shelby was here to see that I wasn't making it up! We haven't been able to capture it on video yet! We'll keep on it and hopefully post it soon!

Activity Jumper

Preston loves to stand so we got out his activity jumper. He really likes it......for short periods at a time!
