Preston - 1st day at home

Checking out the crib.........

We were released from the hospital around 4PM yesterday. I was happy to be going home. Our first night home was a long one. Preston wasn't taking to his bassinet too well - he just wants to be held all the time! Also, he had a lot of gas and was uncomfortable. Thank goodness my mom came to stay with us. At 3AM I woke her up and had her take Preston so Shelby and I could get a couple hours of sleep.
Here are some pictures taken today, his first full day at home. Lucky is doing really well with him. He's really a happy, easy going baby so far. Nursing is going good as well. It's a learning process for both of us. We have little socks on his hands as his face is getting all scratched up. He loves touching his face!

Welcome Preston Kenneth Greenwall

At 8PM on 1/11/09 Mr. Preston Kenneth decided it was time to make things interesting and decided to get the ball rolling with his introduction to the world by causing momma's water to break. So there it was - Holly and Shelby racing off to the hospital. After getting to the hospital at 9:30, eight and a half hours (and one sanity saving epideral) later Preston made his debut. With little crying, a little patience, and lots of cuteness - world meet Preston!

Want more pictures? We've got them for you right here (with the ability to view as a slideshow and download)
Update: A few more pictures taken by the hospital photographer..

Cardinals Playoff Game

37 Weeks Pregnant.....
We had a Dr. appt. on Tuesday and the news is I'm dilated one centimeter and 50% effaced. So I'm starting to make some progress. We have another appt. next week so hopefully we'll have more news to report.

The Cardinals hosted their first playoff game since 1947!! Shelby and I of course had to be there. It was so much fun especially because we won!! I didn't go into labor at the game (thank goodness) but now that the game is over, I'm ready any time! Hopefully it will be very soon. I'm getting more excited each day to meet our little man. I've attached some photos of us tailgating before the game.

We'll keep updates going as we keep getting closer to the big day!!
