Merry Christmas!

We had our 36 week check up on Monday. I don't think baby Preston will be coming early. He seems pretty content in there. Also, I am still carrying him very high. He hasn't dropped yet so we will see what happens in the upcoming weeks. We have another appointment on Tuesday and will let you know if there are any new updates.

We had a wonderful Christmas. I have attached several pictures from Christmas Eve in Globe. Our nieces and nephews are getting so big! There are 9 total and 2 more on the way!
Can't wait to begin 2009! That just means we're closer to meeting our little man!

Pregnancy - 35 Weeks

Well here we go.....5 weeks left! Coming into the home stretch. We had a dr. appt. last week and everything is looking good. I will start going to the Dr. on weekly visits starting Monday. Shelby & I have been busy preparing for the big day. Last week we met with a pediatrician and on Saturday we took an all day childbirth class. The class was fun and very informative. I think we are as ready as we can be!

I am still feeling good. Maybe a little more tired these days. Also, my feet and ankles are starting to swell at night and this morning my hands were a little swollen when I woke up.

I didn't get any good photos at our last ultrasound. He's just getting too big to get any good pics.(as you can see in the photos of me!!)

More updates to come as we get even closer to the big day!!

Only 8 weeks to go! I say only but I'm ready to be done! I can make it though. I've really had a great pregnancy so far. We had our 32 week check up this week. Everything is good. We both keep growing more everyday! Preston gets hiccups now and it's so cute! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pregnancy - 30 Weeks

The "Family Jewels" as the Dr. calls it
Preston's Foot

His little face and arm resting on his cheek
The "blob" is the placenta resting on his face & arm

No, you can't eat the placenta!
We had another Dr. appt. on Tuesday. Everything is great. I've gained 2 more pounds and am now at 22lbs. total. We, of course had another ultrasound. Baby Preston was trying to eat the placenta! It's right in front of his face and he kept opening and closing his mouth trying to get it! He's starting to get quite the personality!

Baby Shower

Lets open presents!

Holly & Grandma Greenwall

Car seat is a must!

We had our baby shower on Saturday. It turned out great. We got so much stuff! Who knew that a baby could need so much! We are so blessed to have wonderful family & friends. These are just a few highlights from the day.

Pregnancy- 28 weeks

Pumpkin Smuggler!!

Preston's little nose & mouth

Happy Halloween! We had our 28 week check up on Tuesday and everything is looking good! Also, baby Preston has turned and is now in the correct position. No longer breech! We are now on bi-weekly appointments......time is flying by! He will be here before we know it! We got some new ultrasound pictures but our scanner is not working so I could only scan one photo. I also took an updated belly picture. Really getting bigger every day! Oh, and I gained 10lbs. in 4 weeks! I've gained a total of 20lbs. so far......wow.
I also want to give a shout out to my sister-in-law Robyn who is pregnant and due 8 weeks after me. Her and Adam just found out that they're having a boy. Also to my cousin Julie and her husband Bobby who are due the same day as Robyn and just found out they are having a boy as well. Both couples are naming their baby Ryan!! Too funny.....they need to meet! Too bad Julie lives in PA. Anyway, we wish them both the best.
More updates and photos to come!

Anniversary

Shelby & I went to Sedona for our 5 year wedding anniversary. It was also our last little "getaway" before the baby arrives. We met up with one of my childhood friends and her boyfriend for dinner. Monica lives in Philadelphia and was vacationing in Sedona for a week. It was great to see her again.

Pregnancy - 24 Weeks

We had our 24 week appt. today. Baby Preston is doing good but he is breech! The Dr. said that there is still plenty of time for him to flip so I am hopeful. I am also measuring large for my due date so I may have to go for another hi-tech ultrasound. Although this could be due to the fact that he is currently breech. We'll know more at our next appointment. We have another one in 4 weeks and then we'll go to every 2 weeks after that.

So far I have gained a total of 10lbs. I definitely notice the extra weight. Especially at night! Baby Preston is getting much stronger and I'm feeling him kick more often. Shelby can even see him kicking at times!

Special Ultrasound-18 Weeks

"The Money Shot"

"Baby Boy"
We went for our special ultrasound yesterday and can finally announce that we're having a boy! Check out the second photo.......
We're very excited and happy. We went shopping after the appointment and bought some cute outfits. Cardinals and D-Backs outfits were also purchased!!

The important part is the baby is healthy. The tech wouldn't give us a full report but said everything was good and at the end finished with "beautiful". We have our 19 week appt. with Dr. Kimmel on Tuesday so we'll get the full report then. I'll give more updates after Tuesday.
They gave us a CD of over 100 pictures and a DVD as well. Shelby got the video on our website. www.greenwallaz.com

Pregnancy Advice

This was sent from our friend Richard. I got a good laugh from it and wanted to share.....

Q: Should I have a baby after 35?
A: No, 35 children is enough

Q: I'm two months pregnant now. When will my baby move?
A: With any luck, right after he finishes college.

Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby's sex?
A: Childbirth.

Q: My wife is five months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she's borderline irrational.
A: So what's your question?

Q: My childbirth instructor says it's not pain I'll feel during labor, but pressure. Is she right?
A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current.

Q: When is the best time to get an epidural?
A : Right after you find out you're pregnant.

Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labor?
A: Not unless the word "alimony" means anything to you.

Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth?
A: Yes, pregnancy.

Q: Do I have to have a baby shower?
A: Not if you change the baby's diaper very quickly.

Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again?
A: When the kids are in college.

Belly Pictures- 15 weeks

I was told that people wanted to see what my belly was looking like so I had Shelby take a couple of pictures after we got back from Cardinals training camp last Saturday. These were taken on August 2nd.
I went shopping for maternity clothes today and bought quite a few things! I really needed pants and was having a hard time finding size small so I went to Burlington and they had a great selection in my size. Shelby and I also started shopping for baby furniture and found a lot of cute things there as well. Still love to shop!!

Pregnancy - 15 Weeks

"Baby Greenwall"

Very Soon we will have the baby's name posted on our pictures! We had another sonogram today and the Dr. made an "unofficial" prediction......boy or girl? We have an idea but will wait to
reveal the results until we know for sure. (and no, I'm not telling anyone...not even Rachel!) Should be at our next appointment in 3 weeks! We will go for the fetal survey ultrasound @ 18 weeks where they look for any possible abnormalities. This is the special ultrasound where we will get a really clear view of the baby and a DVD!

These photos are not as clear but we have a great view of the spine and on the one picture a good view of the legs/feet. The legs are so long! Baby's heartbeat is very strong and everything looks great!

I'm feeling better these days. The past month I've only had nausea (vomiting) once a week. I'm also starting to get some energy back and I gained 2 pounds since my last appointment! I did buy a couple of maternity pants and had to retire some pants so the belly is growing!

Pregnancy- 11 weeks

"The Baby"

Ok, now I'm on monthly appointments. Our last appointment was on July 1st. Shelby went to this appointment with me and will continue going to the following appointments. Baby Greenwall moved around a lot during this sonogram including doing a full back flip! We also heard the heartbeat this time which was amazing! Is it a boy or a girl? Won't find out until 19 weeks but Shelby is determined it's a boy! (of course)

The past month was very rough with nausea. Never had any vomiting just lots of nausea. I actually lost weight & Dr. Kimmel wasn't very happy about that. I am not "allowed" to lose anymore weight so she gave me a prescription for Vitamin B6 and Wendy's frosties!

Pregnancy- 7 weeks

"The Sea Monkey"

This was our second sonogram 2 weeks later. I was able to see the heartbeat and Dr. Kimmel measured the baby's length to determine the due date which is January 20, 2009! Shelby was a little upset as he did not go to this appointment with me. I really didn't think there would be a baby to see much less a heartbeat! Ok, time to start reading The Pregnancy Journal my sister-in-law Rachel sent me! We're having a baby!

Feeling fine at this point. No morning sickness yet but still very tired.
