Playing in the Snow

We mad the 1 1/2 hr. drive to Globe yesterday to play in the snow.  I love Arizona!  It's sunny and warm in Phoenix and you just have to drive a short distance to play in the snow.  The next day we are back in Phoenix wearing short sleeves!!  Well Preston didn't care for the snow.  We got all bundled up and played for all of about 10-15 minutes!  Just enough time to get some great photos!  The scenery is just beautiful!  I'm glad we didn't drive 2+ hrs. north for the snow as Preston didn't even enjoy it!  Also, this way we were able to spend time with family and eat Globe mexican food which is always an added bonus :)

Hopefully he'll enjoy it more next year.  What can I say?  He's Phoenix born....warm blooded!!

First Birthday Party

We had Preston's first Birthday Party at Peter Piper Pizza.  So many of our family and friends joined us in the celebration!  What a milestone to reach one year!  We love our little man so much and can't wait for the new journey's ahead! 

Preston turns One!!

The big day is finally here! We gave Preston a cupcake in preparation for his birthday party on Saturday where he'll dig into birthday cake! Once he tried the icing....it was all history. It's official, he LOVES sweets!! Will post more birthday pictures after his party on Saturday :)

Preston's Big Boy Haircut

We took Preston to get a big boy haircut today. He desperately needed it and he has a big 1st birthday party coming up next weekend! We found a place called Snip It's. It's a place just for kids. They did a great job but Preston did not like the clippers at all! He was crying and screaming! What drama over a haircut :)

Hopefully we made up for it by taking him to Red Robin for lunch where he enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich and then going to play in the play area at Chandler Mall.

Mr. Independent

Preston is growing up way too fast!! He is now taking "big boy" baths and starting to feed himself!! Guess I wasn't ready for all the changes to occur at once! I know I have to accept the fact that he's growing up and is becoming more independent but it all has happened so fast. 2009 is coming to an end and I just keep thinking....where did the year go? Is it possible that Preston will be a year old?? Hopefully time will slow down a little in 2010. I want to enjoy every moment of it!! Happy New Year!

Preston's First Christmas 2009

Mommy & Daddy were so excited for Preston's first Christmas and Preston.....didn't care so much! He wasn't too into opening presents but was a good sport anyway. He's just now starting to play with his new toys, a little! He's more interested in the TV remote and the cell phones. We enjoyed our Christmas morning then we went to Globe and spent the remaining part of Christmas with the Greenwalls. It was a fun day! Below are some highlights of Christmas morning.
